The site is a gopher server of the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It provides the Electronic Library Network (ELN) service. The ELN was established in 1989 to coordinate and support resource sharing among libraries in 24 British Columbian colleges, institutes, and universities. The ELN's mission is to provide equal, timely, and economical access to information resources beyond institutional library collections and existing services.
